We teach the National Curriculum which consists of nine subjects as well as information technology (ICT),Personal,Social,Healthand Citizenship education(PSHCE) and French.
We have an exciting creative curriculum with many links between these subjects and with many visits and visitors supporting the learning.Come into school and you may find Indian dancing,Greek food tasting, birds of prey in the quad, brass rubbing, mountaineers sharing their experiences,or many other fascinating speakers and activities.
We make our topics as interesting and relevant as we can for our pupils, involving them in drama, art and music to motivate and inspire them to want to find out more and to enjoy writing.Spooky stories are much enhanced by a visit to the graveyard and a ghost walk, whilst a visit in costume, to Parham House enables the pupils to really feel what it was like to live in Tudor times.
Each year group has a yearly overview of the subjects and areas that will be taught. You can click on the links to see these and to understand what sort of learning a year in any particular year group will involve.
